More Wind & Friends

The big south winds continued to blow strong today giving me another nice push up the coast. Once again, I met some fantastic people today. Ashley and his wife were full of questions when I met them today. After filling them with my tale, they reached into their boat and gave me some goodies. Nuttinbutter cookies, fresh water, and two authentic Carolina hot dogs. I was old these were the real deal. How can you tell? Well, they are red. I dont mean that pale off color stuff found in the store. Nope, these were bright red. I asked if I needed to cook them and his reply was nope, eat em just like that. I got two buns to go with them and thus had another day end with non trail food. I feel like I am living large these days :-)

Cold front tonight is supposed to bring big storms and a 20 degree temperature drop. I am mentally prepared to pull out the dry suit for tomorrow. Luckily I found a great sheltered spot and was able to put up the tent. It will be nice to not sleep in the bivy tonight and really be able to stretch out.

Lots of Osprey's nesting, which is quite a treat. I think they are amazing birds and absolutely love watching them interact with one another. When they are nesting like this it seems like the mate is always close by. If it is calmer tomorrow I will take some pictures and get them posted.
