The big event on day 5 was the fact that the torrential rains during thenight finally ended. Morning broke to the sound of roosters and hound dogstrying to keep up with one another
I had stayed under a pavilion which meant comfy tables to sit at, sip coffeeand slowly watch the sun come up.
Partly cloudy skies led to mostly sunny skies which led to a meanderingpeddle through north Florida . The farm scapes were made more dramatic bythe sun shining on the cypress trees with their long tentacles of Spanishmoss, all positioned against the darker northern skies. I found myselfstopping often just to admire the view.
60 Miles into the day I found a patch of woods that became camp for thenight. Reps are supposed to go to freezing and I am slightly concerned thatI don't have enough warm clothing. I guess we shall see.
Day 6 will be moderate in length and then a much needed rest day.
