Winter Solstice

Waiting for morning Sun at StonehengeTwo days ago I was able to rise early and visit the ancient stones of Stonehenge for the winter Solstice festival.  All I can say is WOW, what an amazing place and experience.  Having read about the place for years and seen multiple programs on the stones, nothing can do it justice until you experience it in person.  The place is simply magical.

After the festivities were over, I finally had an opportunity to make my way into the center of the stones.  The energy I felt here was unlike anything I had ever experienced before.  It reminded me, in a very visceral way, that we are all connected, that we are all one.  I could feel the presence of the many thousands of people that had come to this one spot to pray and connect with mother earth.  It was a very life altering experience that once again reinforced my belief in Universal Energy.

We come once again to the end of a year, a time that many will use to reflect on days gone by.  Some will have happy thoughts, others a bit more melancholy.  Many people will long to have made different decisions or wish for some grand change in the future.  Some will blame themselves for what they don't have and some will blame others.  There will be people that rejoice in what they have been given and be thankful for the loved ones in their lives.  This is without a doubt, one of the most emotional times of the year, all condensed into a very short period of time.  Not at all unlike the energy focused into that single place in the middle of those stones.

I have learned that for me, I must accept and embrace all that has happened  as nothing short of miraculous.  I have learned that with time, there are no bad events only good ones.  I have felt the warmth and love of family, friends, and complete strangers.  I have seen events unfold that make me believe, without a single doubt, that we are all connected in ways we can only begin to imagine.  I have seen the beauty of this earth in places rarely touched by human hands.

In the last 3 years I have been on the most amazing journey of peace and love, and I have all of you to thank for it. I know not where tomorrow will lead, and I know that yesterday is no longer of concern.  I know that the path will unfold before us, if we simply choose to believe in ourselves and those around us.  I feel that there is much still to do; much to see and experience; many people still to meet; and much love to share -- and yet, I am at complete peace with the NOW.

I hope that you find time this week to step back, take a few deep breaths of air, and embrace the moment and all its perfection.  As I have said before and will say again: "There is no tomorrow, and the past is no longer here.  Today, Now, is the only moment that you control.  Live, Love, Be Happy, Go In Peace"

Much Love,
